// terms of use

Plain English ground rules.

effective: May 16, 2026

// What this page covers

These terms cover (1) your use of this website and (2) any follow-up correspondence about your inquiry. They do not govern an actual engagement — if we end up working together, that's a separate written agreement we'll both sign.

// The intake form is a conversation starter, not a contract

Submitting the form doesn't obligate either of us to anything. We may respond with a proposal, with sharper questions, or with a polite no. We may also decline to respond at all if the project isn't a fit. None of that is a breach of anything — it's how triage works.

Any price, scope, timeline, or capacity language you see in the follow-up is an estimate until both parties sign a real agreement.

// Be honest in what you submit

Don't submit obviously false information, someone else's details without permission, or anything illegal. We may decline to respond and may delete any submission that violates this.

// Don't abuse the form

Don't use the form to send unsolicited marketing, attempt to scrape data, probe for vulnerabilities, or otherwise interfere with the service. We log IP addresses and apply spam protection for exactly this reason.

// Intellectual property

All site content, design, and code (excluding what you submit) is the property of My Dark Lab. Don't copy it. The work product from a paid engagement is governed by whatever contract we sign — usually you get the deliverables, we keep the underlying tooling and our right to use the work in our portfolio.

// No warranties on this site

This site is provided as is. We try hard to keep it up and accurate. We don't guarantee 100% uptime, that submissions will always land in our inbox, or that any specific reply will arrive by any specific time. If the form is critical to your timeline and we haven't heard back, email Brandon@mydarklab.com directly.

// Limit of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, My Dark Lab is not liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of this site or any follow-up communications. In every case, total liability is capped at the greater of $100 or fees you've actually paid us in the past 12 months (typically: $0 at the intake stage).

// Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oklahoma, USA. If any dispute arises that can't be solved by talking, it'll go to the courts in Tulsa County.

// Changes to these terms

If we update these terms, the effective date at the top of the page changes. Material changes that affect anyone we're actively in conversation with will be emailed before they take effect.
